Hail does not fall evenly. It comes in swaths, so one side of a subdivision can take a beating while the other side sees nothing. That is why we inspect rather than guess, and why plenty of homeowners assume they were outside a storm track when they were not.

Does it matter that my Marietta house is older?

Older roofs raise a specific problem: the carrier will argue that what you are seeing is age rather than storm damage. That argument is won or lost on documentation. Hail bruising has a signature that wear does not, and it photographs differently at the right resolution and light angle.

Age also changes what the roof needs underneath. On the older housing stock around the Square and East Cobb we routinely find decking that has to be replaced once the old shingles come off, and ventilation that was never right to begin with. Neither shows up in a first estimate, and both are things we document on site rather than argue about afterwards.

  4. We meet your adjuster at the house and walk the roof with them
  5. Supplement for anything the first estimate missed
  6. Build, usually one day
  7. Depreciation released on completion if you are on an RCV policy

Permits go through Cobb County or the City of Marietta depending on the address. We handle that.
