Alpharetta Roof Replacement After Storm or Hail Damage

Why do so many Alpharetta roofs qualify for a claim?
Alpharetta sits in north Fulton County, in the band that catches storm cells tracking east across north Georgia. Hail and straight-line wind come through most seasons.
The problem is that the damage almost never shows from the ground. Hail bruising and granule loss sit at the impact points, and from a driveway, or often even from a ladder, the roof looks fine. That is why 96 percent of the roofs we replace here turn out to be insurance-qualifying rather than worn out.
What does the inspection involve?
An FAA-licensed drone operator flies the roof and captures high-resolution imagery of every slope. We go through it looking for the specific patterns a storm leaves: hail bruising, granule displacement at impact points, creased or lifted shingles from wind.
Nobody walks on your roof and you do not need to be home. The inspection is free, takes about 30 minutes, and if there is nothing there we will tell you that.
Which parts of Alpharetta do you work in?

My neighbours got new roofs and I did not. Should I be worried?
Probably worth a look.
Hail falls in swaths. If a cell dropped hail on one side of a subdivision, the houses in that swath took it and the houses outside it did not. The boundary is rarely tidy, and plenty of homeowners assume they were outside it when they were not.
What happens after the inspection?
If there is storm damage, you file the claim and we document it. We meet your adjuster at the property and walk the roof with them, which is the appointment that decides what gets paid. Anything the first estimate misses gets submitted as a supplement.
The build itself is usually one day. Most approved claims run three to six weeks from inspection to first payment, and a supplement can add two to four weeks after that.
Permits go through the City of Alpharetta or Fulton County depending on the address. We handle that.
Why does waiting make it worse?
Hail does not leak straight away, and that is what catches people out.
A roof hit in May can go through a whole summer without a drip. What is actually happening is that the impact points have stripped the granules off the shingle, the mat underneath is exposed to UV, and it degrades every week. By the time water shows on a ceiling, the damage is no longer just shingle deep: it is in the decking, sometimes the insulation.
